            • User accounts, Login classes, and User authentication methods
            • Interface types and properties and Configuration groups
            • Additional initial configuration elements, such as NTP, SNMP, and syslog
            • Configuration archival, logging and tracing
            • Rescue configuration
            • Describe how to configure basic components of a Junos device

              4. Operational Monitoring and Maintenance

                • Identifying methods of monitoring or maintaining Junos devices,
                • Show and Monitor commands
                • Interface statistics and errors
                • Network tools, such as ping, traceroute, telnet, SSH, and so on
                • Junos OS installation and upgrades
                • Powering on and shutting down Junos devices

The software is available in an integrated form wherein all the available tests are included. The following practice tests are made available:

  4. Juniper JNCIA® and a few others.

All the above said exams are available in demo mode, which is limited to 30 questions each. Full version of the exams consist of 300+ questions with answers and flash card explanation for each question.

Few of the features of the software are given below:

1. Candidate Exam Screen:

As you can see in the figure below, exam screen is where the user is presented with a question to answer. Each question will have question ID (this is unique for every exam), flash card explanation, timer (you can pause it in Learn Mode), and night mode. You can also take the exam in full screen for better concentration while taking the exam.

2. Question Type – Drag-n-drop (hotspot) Screen

This type of question challenges the user to match the image with respective description. For example, identifying various types of connectors available on computer motherboard.

Comptia exams usually involves identification of various components and respective functionalities.

3. Question Type – Drag-n-drop Screen:

This type of question is similar to image drag n drop, but uses text to match. A sample question is shown in the figure. The user needs to drag the left side box on to the correct box on the right side.

 

4. Review Screen:

The review screen provides an overview of all the questions that have been answered or not. Candidates can directly go to the un-answered questin and answer it using Review Screen. Note that if the time is over for the exam, the exam is terminated and the results are saved.

5. Score Screen:

After completing the exam or after the time is over for completion of the exam, the score card is displayed. The category wise scoring is reported in the exam score sheet.

Various parameters like pass score, number of questions in the exam may be set by the instructor or admin.

CCNA 200-125 exam retiring soon!

Simulationexams.com A+ practice tests for MacThe current version of Cisco CCNA 200-125 is retiring on 23rd Feb 2020. Several other associate level exams, such as CCENT, CCDA, CCNA Security are also retiring along with CCNA. The new exam CCNA 200-301 will have completely revised syllabus with focus on hands-on experience and less coverage of TCP fundamentals. New areas included are Cisco Wireless Controllers (WLCs), Cisco Digital Network Architecture (DNA), and Networking Security (enhanced).

It is recommended that those who are in the middle of preparation for CCNA 200-125 or those who had already completed CCENT, to finish CCNA before the deadline. Else, your CCENT certification would not be of any help to continue to CCNA 200-301.

The new syllabus doesn’t cover RIP, and BGP. More focus is put on broad spectrum of technologies including router IOS, network security, Cisco DNA, and WLC configuration and testing. You may download the practice tests for CCNA 200-125 or CCDA.

SimulationExams Releases New Comptia A+ Core1 and Core2 Practice Tests for Mobile Devices

A+ Core examSimulationexams.com, leading provider of practice exams and network simulators, recently released practice tests for Comptia®. A+ Core1®. and Comptia A+ Core2®. exams.  Currently, the practice tests are available for mobile devices including Android phones and Apple iOS phones. As you all might be aware, the existing exams, 220-901 and 220-902 are going to be retired by 31st July 2019 (English language version). The same are going to be replaced by 220-1001 (A+ Core 1) and 220-1002 (A+ Core 2) respectively. A few significant inclusions are Windows 10 operating system, and enhancement in virtual services such as Cloud services. Mobile devices and security have also been given more importance in recent revision. Over all, 85% of the syllabus remains to be same as that of older one.

Desktop versions of the practice tests will be released in few days and the same will be announced accordingly. The topics (objectives) covered in the new exams are given below:

Comptia® Old A+ Exams Retiring By July 2019

As you might be knowing, Comptia® released new A+ certification exams, namely,

  • Comptia A+® Core 1 (220-1001) and
  • Comptia A+® Core 2 (220-1002)

The exams are already effective, though the older exams Comptia A+ Essentials, and Comptia A+ Practical Application will be live till July 2019. It may be noted that Comptia’s new A+ exams will have more emphasis on virtualization, cloud, and security.  Simulationexams.com is in the process of releasing the practice tests for the same. Check out Comptia A+ Core1 and Comptia A+ Core2 practice tests pages for more details.

It may be noted that you cannot mix and match the new and older exams. Either you have to take both older exams (220-901 and 220-902) or you have to take both new exams (220-1001 and 220-1002). If you are already in the middle of preparation, it is recommended that you prepare for the older exams.

New A+ Exams Released by Comptia, named A+ Core1 and A+ Core2

Comptia organization, a pioneer in promoting computer skills among youth in USA and worldwide, released new A+ exams on 15th Jan 2019. The exams will be replacing the current A+ exams, namely A+ Essentials exam (220-901) and A+ Practical exam (220-902). The new exams have been named as A+ Core1 (200-1001) and A+ Core2 (200-1002) and available from Jan 15th 2019.

Important features of new exams:

CompTIA A+ 220-1001 covers mobile devices, networking technology, hardware, virtualization and cloud computing and network troubleshooting.

CompTIA A+ 220-1002 covers installing and configuring operating systems, expanded security, software troubleshooting and operational procedures.

Important features of the exam: These are not much different from its predecessor except for syllabus.

  • Number of questions: Maximum of 90 questions per exam (same as 901/902)
  • Types of questions: Multiple choice questions (single and multiple response), drag and drops and performance-based (same as 901/902)
  • Duration of the exam: 90 Minutes per exam (same as 901/902)
  • Recommended experience: 9 to 12 months hands-on experience in the lab or field (same as 901/902)
  • Languages offered: English at launch​. German, Japanese, Portuguese, Simplified Chinese and Spanish in 2019  (added simplified chinese!)

As far as the syllabus is concerned, there are quite a few changes in A+ Core1. The major changes are with Mobile Devices, Virtualization and Cloud Computing. You may expect more questions targeted in these areas.

Note that older exams, 220-901 and 220-902 are available till July 2019 and candidates who have already in the middle of preparation can take the older exams. If you have just started the preparation or going to start, it is recommended to go for 1000 series of A+ exams. Note that mix and match is not allowed for A+ exams. That means, you can’t take for 900 series exam (say, 200-901) and one 1000 series exam (say, 200-1002) and can’t get certified. Either you have to take both 900 series exams or both 1000 series exams.
